There are several fight nights around the country every weekend, and some of them have signed sports memorabilia auctions in the meantime. Imagine you and your friends sitting right next to the ring or cage, enjoying breathtaking matches while sipping on an ice-cold beer or bottle of champagne and bidding on a Joe Calzaghe signature boxing glove.
What a great guys night! And we haven’t even talked about ring girls yet! In Greater London in particular, action from amateur boxing and white-collar kickboxing to UCUK cage matches is pretty close every weekend and we’ve seen items of authentically signed sports memorabilia auctioned off at sensational prices.
One prime example was Ultimate Challenge UK at Troxy in London E1. On the evening of May 9, 2009, the scene was set for an unforgettable night. Beer and champagne flowed in torrents as the fighters waged ferocious cage fights. During the break, two beautiful ring girls presented 10 original pieces of autographed sports memorabilia to the cheering crowd.
The All Stars Memorabilia team auctioned 10 selected items of sports memorabilia, from Frank Bruno, Sugar Ray and Joe Calzaghe signed boxing gloves to signed photos of F1 champion Lewis Hamilton and some former West Ham United stars and our 1966 World Cup heroes.
The highest bidders received their shiny new pieces of autographed sports memorabilia and more than £300 was raised for the charity.
