Cricket IPL – K-10 T-20 Tip Part 8
The 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Cricket is being played in Chennai on 26th April 2008 and the enormous response from the spectators in such sweltering heat is very encouraging not only for Indians but a very good sign for cricket fans all over the world. I have to add to the Indian foresight and wisdom of Mr. Lalit Modi who was the driving force behind the entire Kapil Dao theory. Kapil’s innovative idea to breathe new life into cricket and give maximum exposure to most youngsters in the national cricket format paved the way for BCCI to copy his format and launch IPL with Money Barron and Baronesses (MBB).
The applause and joy that this format offers to the viewer is far greater than any cricket match we have witnessed so far. The impulsive mob nature and vindictive attitude of Indians, Pakistanis, Australians or Englishmen is not seen, but everyone applauds the performance of the player regardless of his nationality.
I am proud to say that Secular India is doing secular cricket on its soil where the only end means business and not nationality. In any case, I offer some tips to new and bloated younger players who need to carve out a gap in the game to survive against dogged elders whose Elder Skill and Stamina (SASE) are beyond concern. Most of the time it turns out that old is golden.
Kalpna’s 10 Cricket Tips (KT-10T) for youngsters to succeed in the 20 format:
“One, no full toss in the first three and last two overs;
“Two; Control over the field;
“Three; one bouncer per firefight is a must;
“Four; Not to any ball;
“Five; No try but the bowler to secure a free wide leg side;
“Six; No speed if no control, so keep pace with precision;
“Seven; Learn Trimming Release Ball (TBR). TBR is a new bowling technique. In this technique, the bowler learns to release each alternate ball at nearly half or two-thirds the speed of the previous ball. Inward swing. The seam of the ball is released at an angle of nearly 30 degrees between with the shoulder blade and the arm.I noticed that the ball moves at almost double the speed after hitting the ground, so the game is not difficult but simply impossible.Every ball TBR release would give a fat or Leg Before Wicket to the bowler;
“Eight; Sensible bowling with verve. In all 11 IPL matches, I have seen most fast bowlers lose their sense of direction with pace. I am of the opposition that in an IPL type format there is no correction time as every bowler has.” make just four overs.
“Nine; Good length is a need of the game, and a player needs it.”
“Ten; AMW. My most important tip for junior bowlers is to Aim Mid Wicket (AMW). Any player who follows this tip would be most successful in Twnety-20 (T-20). This technique was taught by Mr. Som Prakash Sharma to some young man in remote rural areas in the 1970s.
The T-20 format has raised the expectations of cricket fans (CF) around the world. The
the new format has given a new type of entertainment which is now at the top. I did a survey and found that more than 99% of youngsters de-stress even if they think about the climax of T-20 cricket in the last three games. This also made people believe that T-20 had an advantage over slow Test matches lasting more than five days. Thanks again Kapil Daa and I hope BCCI’s vindictive attitude will stop after the success of IPL based on Indian Cricket Exit (ICL) theory. Had Kapil Daa not rebelled and started ICL, BCCI’s old inveterate spirit of foot-dragging would never have ended. World over CF would share my opinion and I hope IPL and ICL elevate cricket as a game and not like Arc Rival Cricket League (ARCL). If BCCI doesn’t correct its approach, it would hurt the game in Toto.
Do my readers share their opinions? I hope most of them do; but sometimes
fanatics take it to extremes to bring a bad name to the game. The cheerleaders, their attire, nationality and style have become a thorn in the side of the Traditional Indian Way of Life (TIWL). I believe there is nothing wrong with that, but the dress code must comply with TIWL. These Cheer Leader girls are from humble and respectable families. How can anyone suspect their profession as vulgar and prevent them from earning a living. I don’t agree to stop but I hope that BCCI and ICC will adjust the rules to allow these struggling girls to earn and survive in the highly materialistic sex-oriented world of men (SOWM).
How SOWM responds and analyzes female-dominated activities is the question; and the style of TIWL leaders to either monetize the issue politically or leverage local CF support. I strongly condemn such attitudes and try to call it Sick Sexual Mentality (SSM) outside the view of the business world. I ask the narrow-minded political TIWL to respond to my following observations;
One; There are fabrics worn by Cheer Girls that are much more vulgar than most Indian Girls of the Silver Screen (ISSIG). Sometimes I feel ashamed to sit and watch most of the Indian so called pop songs and ISSIG dress code.
Two; How Indian song directors repeatedly focus their camera on the item girls’ legs, thighs, waist, stomach and twitching hips; isn’t TIWL a problem for politicians?
Three; Yes, I agree, rather than keep showing that the sick Indian foreign body mentality (SIMFF) needs to be suppressed and give the Indian Cheer Girls (ICG) a chance to earn a living with dignity.
Four; how would one limit CF entertainment worldwide?
I would discuss my worst fears about the bait in the game and its hidden
players. According to media reports, the first match invited a bait market of over Rs 700 crore and hoped to increase further. The hype of this format must have already attracted the four most famous bulls nicknamed (WIBU)”:-
“First; White Coat Opportunists (WCO). These are the people who show big advertising losses to make black money and turn white.”
“Secondly; Illegal money laundering;
“Third; black merchants; a
“Fourth, an underworld gangster.
The role of BCCI and ICC in preventing money laundering would be Herculean
task and also the Indian tax men who need to count every ticket sold over the counter or booking entire stadiums. T-20 has become the most exciting Money Minting Arena of Game (MMAG).
Do the Rahul boys need guns or guts, Mallya answers the unsurpassed Rock wall skills of the Indian cricket team. How can such a successful captain be ignored.
