Tennis Leaves Grass and Heads to Hard Courts

It’s true that the surfaces don’t suit his game, but his Wimbledon victory is a testament to how the all round game continues to improve and it’s certainly an event he’ll focus on, if not this year, then certainly next.

Perhaps the threat to Federer’s last remaining Grand Slam crown will come from Serb Djokovic. With the Australian Grand Slam already in the bag, the world number three will be looking to go even better this year. Federer beat him in the final last year, but Djokovic is now a year older and has matured at a rapid pace over the year and is now playing on his favorite surface. He also has some invaluable wins over Federer; first winning the semi-finals of the Australian Open, but before that Djokovic beat him at the Rogers Cup in Toronto. They are victories that, if nothing else, will unsettle the Swiss and after losing his beloved Wimbledon crown to Nadal, doubts will certainly linger about a Djokovic-like phenomenon at Flushing Meadow. Djokovic can be backed 4-1 to win the US Open.
