Football is one of the most popular sports in Nigeria with an estimated following of over 50 million fans spread across the country’s 36 states. The game has gained so much importance with the subsequent emergence of the Super Eagles as one of the biggest brands in Africa.
The game has always enjoyed the patronage of certain technocrats who usually refer to football coaches. In Nigeria, football coaches have been given their due share of importance with the insistence of the Nigeria Football Federation to recruit local coaches to manage the national teams. One of the most popular technicians in the country is none other than Samson Siasia.
