Cricketers Infidelity and Betrayal – Is it True Part 1

Indian cricketers continue to let the Nation fans down as always

Previously; because they are part of a “secular team, not a national team”

I follow Indian cricket quite closely; but how deeply hurt I was when our team failed to qualify for the World Cup and forced me to do an in-depth analysis of the disaster. The team not only won over the feelings of more than a billion people, but also failed the national honor. Some of my friends even went so far as to call the entire team traitors. Are they?

I would try to take my readers back to the series of yesteryears when Sharjah hosted one-day cricket games where India lost most of the finals with all truths and falsities. Any ordinary Indian could analyze the reason for this loss of respect; but neither our cricketers nor the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ever felt the humiliation of losing national prestige. Every defeat was considered a simple game.

Although some of the readers will debate the question of the connection between politics and the game; but I would say that the games are the image of the Nation. We Indians have to understand and accept that so far no Indian cricketer, barring Kapil and a few others, has thought for the Nation; but they always played for personal bests and status. More often than not, our team has repeatedly disappointed the Indian fans.

After more than three decades of my study, I feel that Indian cricketers will continue to fail the nation like never before because we are a ‘secular team not a national team’“.Indian fans are still cheated not only by Sachin and Ganguly but by all these money driven cricketers; whenever Indian fans want?. They will never perform when the nation wants; they will only perform in order to make individual records and mint money. the identity of a cricketer is linked to the nation and not as a separate entity. Steve Waugh, the Australian captain, once made a very important observation while replying to the so-called legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar that the Indian cricketers play for individual achievements.He was right and there are Legendary Indian cricketers who only played for themselves and not for the nation, hold all the world batting records but never played for the nation.I am sure 99% of Indian cricket lovers and fans will support my views.

In fact, Kapil Daa is also pursuing similar goals; and shares my views on awakening the consciousness of Indian cricketers, but the faceless Indian media has made these self-centered players (SCP) national heroes despite knowing full well that most of the world records held by Indian cricketers have always gave up on the nation when the Indian fans needed it the most.

In fact, these players betrayed the faith of more than a billion Indians during the recent World Cup debacle. I still don’t think our team was incompetent; but joining the Bengals and internal discord ensured that Dravid would not get the credit for taking the World Cup home, thus making history. A similar story of internal discord between the players was shown by most channels months later, why did the Indian team fare so badly? Truly speaking, the traitors are within us. A select few traitors in the past like King Ambha, Jaichand and many others; made Mother India (MI) a slave for more than 1100 years; but the present betrayal of the teams has buried the hopes of more than a billion Indians.

I would like to comment on the output style. As you can expect a player; after playing more than a hundred matches come out with a fat inside edge? Analysis of my repeated footage of Sachin, Ganguly and other players getting out showed a certain pattern. I still feel strongly that these players were reluctant horses forced to drink water because they are senior players. These players simply put an inside edge on the inside rising ball to raise the wickets. Mine, once; failure of the team proved that a billion Indians are being betrayed?

A very difficult question; indeed, one must read and answer our record-keepers well. Readers shouldn’t be surprised, as most players knew very well how to get out without being blamed?

In any case, over time, our team believes that it has become professional, but in reality, the team has begun to drift towards a glittering, rich lifestyle. Watching the matches, if every common man can analyze how a player is performing so badly or getting out, why can’t BCCI? However, our irresponsible media blames Sehwag for his failures; but I would say that he always lost his wicket by playing the toss, not by deliberately delaying runs or trying to create a record on the altar of national honour. So far, various Indian cricket veterans have held almost all the records, but they rarely performed when the country’s billions of fans wanted them to. Is it a matter of shame or pride?

How can a country admire such cricketers who betrayed and cheated the nation in the World Cup?

How can Indian fans pardon these cricketers who cheated more than a billion fans?

How can these players still play for the national teams?

As we do not understand that the entry of old players has widened the split in the team; and their re-selection paved the way for what I have called the silent attitude of hate in cricket (SAHIC).

These traits of SAHIC play not only on the field but also with the mood of the Indian fans. However, Shri Jagan Nath B.A. said that we Indians have a history of short memory; and we quickly forget our cats. I hope such people will continue to flourish in India.

As for how the scrupulously presented internal difference between the team and SAHIC threw the nation and over a billion Indian fans, can it not be forgotten or forgiven? I would like to record my husband’s very correct prediction, on the day some of the senior players were re-selected for India’s World Cup squad, he was quoted as saying, “India will not win the World Cup because Dravid will not like the failed senior players to make history. Internal divisions made India a physical slave for more than 1,100 years; but now internal simmering discontent in the team will throw the Indian team out of the World Cup” unquote. His statement came true the next day when India lost to Bangladesh.

In an attempt to ascertain how correctly he could have predicted such an outcome, I discussed several questions to ascertain his opinion. He said none of the senior players would want India to win the World Cup under Dravid; and to achieve this, these cricketers would abandon the nation. I ask the readers to analyze the individual contribution of our team in each match and the style of exit. An ignominious exit from the World Cup did not stop the money-minded players. BCCI has further compounded the problem with its immature actions in team selection. I remember the old headlines about several cricketers making money through proxy. Allegations of betting on cricketers like Jadeja, Azurdin and others; involved in the Match-Fixing Scandal (MFS) were impersonating Indian fans through proxies. Despite the fact that electronic and print media, but not only BCCI, write about the MFS, the Ministry of Internal Affairs also remains deaf and dumb due to the lack of evidence. I still believe that Manoj Prabhakar is a victim for exposing the role of hidden money.

Since Indians have a very short memory by nature, they will forget the betrayal of the cricketers in no time. I’m sure the next win will make them undeserved heroes because of the media’s sympathy for individual cricketers. While credit must be given to some of the senior players for giving the game their all, they didn’t do anything for free, they were paid far better than they deserved. Apart from the fixed bonuses, these players also earned crores through advertisements.

What credit have the Indian cricketers now earned from a Nation that every citizen has regularly betrayed due to internal division, I ask an Indian.

The Aaj Tak report on why India lost the World Cup was an eye opener. The “ifs” and “buts” between the team captain and other senior players were discussed in detail through the telecast. It was shocking to learn that these players; who is still part of our team; as scrupulously got out without accusing. Indians, by and large, still display and impose faith; but the team has time and time again proven unworthy of such trust.

I would like to request that:-

· One; an independent agency will be hired to investigate the role of all cricketers in treason;

· Two; keep any player out until their role is thoroughly investigated after seeing all the footage, how did they come out?

· Three; strip the entire team that was part of the humiliation of the World Cup;

· Four; don’t forgive any of them until they issue a general apology for defrauding Indians fans around the world:

· Five; The third angle of the monetary muscles should also be explored. Who knows; as it was more than 1500 crore bets, both Indian and Pakistani teams did not qualify, were not involved in a big money laundering network.

· Six; change the selection committee rules to select Nationalist and Patriotic Players (NAP) and money greedy, opportunists and frauds.

Finally, I would like to emphasize that Indian fans need to reconsider them

expectations. My readers will agree with me that when Indian fans wanted the Indian cricket team to win, they always lost. What to talk about the team, the star Indian cricketers have never lived up to the expectations of the Indian fans.

What I noticed is that:

· A); indian cricketers play for themselves not country how can india win a match if indian fans want it? All the readers will agree with me that the Indian cricket team has cheated the Indian fans more often than not, whether it was the World Cup or a prestigious do or die match against arch rival Pakistan. Had they played for the country, India would have won every match our team played;

· B); as most of the individual cricketer’s world records, except for Shane’s spin bowling, are held by Indian cricketers like Sachin, Sunil, Dravid and so on; but none of the records were accomplished during the game for the nation’s victory. In fact, Sachin is one of the players who holds most of the records, but he has always given up on the Nation when needed. I’m sure barring a few matches, India rarely won a match where Sachin performed well. It goes to show enough that Indian cricketers are still individual players coming together to make individual records at the expense of the national exchequer.

· C); Even today, 12 August 2007, Indian cricketers lack the killer instinct. They are lazy and act like one. They know that there is no penalty for them, they play as they want. Our players have become so desensitized to the call of the Indian fans that they don’t bother them.

D); I believe that until Indian cricketers feel that they are Indians first and players second, Indian cricket fans will be betraying the 2007 world cup.

I would like my August readers to share their views and seek their honest opinion at [email protected]
