It is one of the most biodiverse cities in the world, because it is located where many different microclimates and soil types come together. Not to be missed are Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004, and False Bay, which is a popular spot for whale watching.

A popular tourist destination, many tourists visit Cape Town’s beaches which are also popular among locals. One of the city’s most visited tourist attractions is the Port of Cape Town where tourists can shop at several hundred shops, visit the Two Oceans Aquarium and watch ships come in and out of the ports or even spend the night in one of the villages .
